The emphasis in every class is toward improving your painting skills and developing your own personal style.
The principles and elements of art are the focus of instruction. That means that emphasis is on improving yourself as an artist through better understanding and use of color, value, line, shape and form.

Expect homework as part of the learning process. Classes will broaden your understanding, but most of the valuable learning takes place at home, in your own space where you work through processes for yourself.

You need to bring your own supplies to these classes. The easiest way to get them is on line. I have made a materials list at a website that will be very helpful to you.

Supplies for Acrylic Class

Current Classes

Beginning Level is for the student with little or no experience with acrylic painting. You will focus on COLOR and getting to know your palette. We start at the very beginning. Demonstrations and exercises will introduce you to color mixing, seeing where color changes occur, reproducing local color and techniques for applying paint.

Intermediate Level is a continuation of the above class.. More guided instruction, strategies, composition considerations and paint mixing.

Open Studio Open studio provides many options:
A weekly demonstration or discussion, fresh ideas, inspiration, support and
consultation to solve painting problems, opportunity to meet new painting
friends, a friendly group with whom to share your work, informal sharing and
critiques.You do not need to attend all classes. You can pay as you go. $15 per session
