Supplies for Acrylic Class
I recommend Golden Open Acrylics. They are a
new type of acrylic paint that has retarded drying properties.
They are
available at the websites listed below. Call the local stores
to verify that they carry this line if you decide to buy locally.
Emphasize
OPEN acrylics. They are very new, and different from all other
brands. Golden is the only current manufacturer of these paints.
If you already have paints, talk to me before you buy additional
supplies.
Colors for a basic Golden OPEN Acrylic palette- 2 oz tubes
Titanium White- get 2 tubes or a 4 oz bottle of white
Carbon Black
Cadmium Red Light

Quin Magenta

Basic Brushes-
synthetic bristles, the best that you can afford. Cheap ones
will not hold their shape. I recommend Jack
Richeson Quiller Water Media brushes. They are reasonably priced and the

Bob Ross screen for cleaning brushes available at Michael's, or
mesh or wire pushed into the bottom of your bucket
Palette- a rigid piece of plastic, masonite,
cardboard or wood approximate 9”x12”
16-cube ice cube tray (Dollar Store)
Freezer paper-a roll (Publix)
Paint rag and roll of paper towels
Vine charcoal
Optional-Easel,-table type for at home. I have some to borrow
in class.
