One Stroke
UUCA Watercolor Class
Current
Schedule
I have both beginner and intermediate levels as well as Open Studio
classes.
Beginner-Designed
for someone with a year or less experience with the medium. These
classes start from the very beginning. Classes are structured so
that we are all working on the same subject matter.
Intermediate-Designed
for someone with more than one year's experience with the medium.
These classes
will continue the structure as in the
beginning class. We will all use the same reference material and
work to develop our own style with it. Class input will determine
the subjects.
Open Studio These
classes begin with a short demonstration and discussion of a subject
of general interest. Some of these
"openers"
are relevant to a painting technique, some focus on a particular
element of art or based on a student request, always something
applicable to your painting. Following the demonstration you are
free to work on your
subject
and painting
of choice.
I am available to consult and encourage your work. At the conclusion
of class we share our work.
Basic Principles of Drawing
Drawing is the foundation of all art forms, and this class is the
place to start. We'll work in charcoal and graphite while focusing
on the principles of drawing- sighting and measuring, composition,
and value. We’ll use our time to draw from landscape, still
life and life model. Learning to keep a visual journal is part
of the class. No experience required.
Private Lessons can be scheduled..Contact
me for more information.
