Plein Air Painting with Lenny Gemski
Lenny will paint along with you as well as demonstrate techniques and discuss
painting procedures for those who desire. The setting will be relaxed so that
you can paint at your own pace and enjoy the benefit of group camaraderie,
excursions and daily critiques. You may choose to receive more personal instruction
from
Lenny.
We will stay at DOMAINE DU HAUT BARAN, which
is the beautiful country home of William and Rosalie Haas, who are an American,
English speaking couple.
It is
an ideal location for plein air painting They have transformed their property
into a five star getaway for artists. They provide individually decorated
rooms, each with a modern private bath. There is a large studio for indoor
painting,
acres of vistas and gardens for inspiration,. French half-easels and stools
are provided for each artist.
Haut Baran is located in the Lot Valley, which is a 2-hour drive north
from Toulouse Airport and half hour west of Cahors. The region is full
of vineyards,
charming
historic villages, beautiful vistas, historic castles, farms, and the lovely
Lot River.
William’s French heritage makes him the perfect guide, providing a
wealth of information about the region while transporting you in the van
on painting
excursions. On alternate days you will paint on and around the manicured

COST: $2900.00 painters, non-painter companions
welcome for $2,800.00. Based on 10 participants.

Note: Cost is in US dollars and will not increase or be affected by exchange
rate.
INCLUDES: 10 nights sharing a twin room, 10 Continental Breakfasts,
5 Dinners with wine at Haut Baran, 5 lunches at Haut Baran, transfers between
Toulouse Airport or Cahors train station and Haut Baran, all painting excursions,
painting
assistance from Lenny, and assistance of Haut Baran hosts William &Rosalie
Haas. French easels and stools are provided.
NOT INCLUDED: Airfare, meals not mentioned
above, drinks and personal items.
EXTRAS: Spa treatments including massages,
manicures, and facials are available by appointment at an additional
charge. Laundry service available at additional charge.
All single guests will share a room with twin beds.
If you want your own room the single supplement is $1000 US.
PICK UP at Toulouse airport is April 28, 2011
at noon or Cahors train station April 28, 2011 at 3:30pm.. You will need to
be at the
pick
up point by designated time.
You will arrive at Domaine du Haut Baran April 28, 2010 late afternoon
and depart
Haut Baran 10am May 8, 2010.
Haut Baran is 5 hours train ride south from Paris, should you wish to visit
there.
