Classes
My well equipped private studio is in St Augustine Beach, FL.
Classes are small and instruction is individualized. Beginning
students as well as experienced painters will explore new materials
and techniques in painting. You will explore basic watercolor techniques
and learn new approaches to painting through demonstration and
individual experimentation.

Classes
Beginning Watercolor
Beginning Watercolor class is for those with little or no watercolor
experience. We start at the very beginning. You will need to gather
your supplies in advance of the first class. Check the supply
list above and allow two weeks for your supplies to arrive if
mail ordered, which is best.

the studio
While creating paintings, learn to:
Set up your palette
Learn about paints, paper and brushes
Create a color wheel and value scales
Select elements to create strong compositions
Mix colors to create harmonious compositions
Learn to apply color in a variety of ways.
Paint from landscape
and still life sources.
Guided homework is part of this learning
process.

Intermediate Watercolor
Intermediate Watercolor class is for those with one or more years
of experience with the medium.
Topics of class will be exploring compositional considerations,
building color harmonies, and gaining confidence with watercolor.
Homework is part of the learning process.
Open Studio Classes
Painters at all levels are welcome.. They should feel
comfortable with watercolor media. Bring your own resource material.(sketches,
photographs or set up)
OPEN STUDIO provides many options.

Still life set ups are always available.
$15 is the weekly fee, payable each week or $40 for 3 classes.
You do not have to attend all classes. Come when you can.
Plein Air (painting
outdoors on location)
This class is not current scheduled..
All levels of painters, acrylic
or watercolor
If the weather is good, we will meet at an outside location. If
there is inclement weather, we will meet at the studio. Possible
outdoor locations to consider:
• St Augustine Lighthouse on the waterside-docks, boats.
• St Augustine facing toward the Lighthouse, structures, gardens
• Constitution Plaza downtown-college, trees, buildings
•
Boat yard beside Home Depot –boats and marine activities
• My neighborhood-trees, gardens, structures
